I recently stayed at Brattagata Guesthouse for a few days and it was a great experience. The host provided helpful information before check-in, including transportation options and sightseeing suggestions. The accommodation is conveniently located in a quiet area, easy to find. The facilities were well-equipped, although it would be good to bring your own tableware if you plan to cook. The beds were comfortable and the shared bathroom was not a problem. The host was lovely and went out of her way to make us feel at home. The daily breakfast was delicious and varied, and the homemade Christmas cookies were a nice touch. a fantastic stay with great value for money.
Do recommend this hotel.

Set in the heart of the city. The apartment has huge rooms with the radiators on max setting, a queen bed. Smooth check-in. Warm welcome from owner.
I loved the apartment though some things didn't work.

Quiet place, appreciated having the city centre within 5 minutes on foot. Location close to shops and a market, incredibly nice staff. Matarkjallarinn, located near the apartment was great for dinner. Terrific service from the host. The bathroom there was luxury
Wi-Fi was very poor.

It was an excellent place to stay for holidays. I enjoyed its ideal and exceptionally nice location near the harbour. In fact, the property was short walk to bus stop, lots of restaurants, and Reykjavík.

The location of the guesthouse was perfect, right in the heart of the city. We were able to walk to all the main attractions and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. the facilities in the room were good, especially the kitchenette. It was convenient to be able to prepare our own meals and save some money on eating out. - the room was nicely furnished and clean, and we had a comfortable stay overall.
We had to sleep on a sofa bed during our stay and it was the worst bed ever. It was uncomfortable and gave us a bad night's sleep.

The guesthouse had spacious rooms and a well-equipped shared kitchen, making it easy to prepare meals. The location was perfect, with shops and restaurants nearby. the living room had a great collection of publications about the local area, which provided helpful tips for exploring.
Our room had a sofa bed that was uncomfortable due to its springs, and the connecting door had a large gap, causing us to hear every word from our neighbors. It would have been helpful if these issues had been addressed prior to our stay.

I had a wonderful stay, with the location near a plaza at the end of the main walking street through downtown Reykjavik. The accommodation was in the heart of the town. It was not far from the center of the old town, Reykjavik.

I had such a great stay at this guesthouse! The value for money was excellent, and the room was cozy and comfortable. The location couldn't have been better, with pubs and restaurants just a block away. But what really made the stay special was the friendly and caring staff, especially Ingunn, who went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful experience.
The breakfast could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

The value for money at Brattagata was spot on. The room was cozy and clean, and the location was super convenient, with everything within walking distance. The staff treated us with great care and made our stay even better.
The only thing that could make the breakfast even better would be a wider selection of hot items.
